Outlet and switch installation
We do outlet and switch installation for homes in Central NJ. New outlets, GFCI outlets, USB outlets, dimmers, and smart switches. Bruce has wired homes since 1988. When you call, you get Bruce. No subcontractors.
Need a plug where there is none? Tired of stretching cords across the room? We add outlets right where you need them. We run the wire, set the box, and test it. Clean work, every time.
Add outlets where you need them
Most rooms never have enough outlets. We add new ones so you stop using power strips. A new outlet by the desk. One behind the TV. One in the garage. We put them where they help you most.
We run the wire inside the wall when we can. That keeps it neat and out of sight.
GFCI outlets for wet spots
A GFCI outlet shuts off fast if it senses a problem. This stops shocks near water. Code requires GFCI outlets in some spots. That means kitchens, baths, garages, and outdoors.
If your wet spots do not have GFCI outlets, you need them. We install them and test that they trip right. This is a safety must, not a nice to have.
USB outlets and smart switches
A USB outlet lets you charge phones with no plug brick. We can swap a normal outlet for one with USB ports built in. Handy by the bed or the kitchen counter.
A smart switch lets you run lights from your phone or by voice. We install smart switches and make sure they work with your setup. We can do dimmers too. A dimmer sets the light level in any room.
Dedicated circuits
Some things need their own circuit. A window AC unit pulls a lot of power. So does a big microwave. If they share a circuit with other stuff, the breaker trips.
A dedicated circuit runs straight from the panel to one spot. It stops the trips and runs the unit safe. We add dedicated circuits for AC units, microwaves, and more.
Code and permits
NJ has code rules for outlets and switches. The rules say where GFCI goes and how circuits get wired. We know these rules and we follow them.
Adding a new circuit needs a permit in NJ. We pull NJ UCC permits when the job needs one. A simple outlet swap does not need a permit. We tell you up front what your job needs.
We work clean and we work to code. Most jobs finish the same day.
